Pieces of Mind in the Social Realm

I think one of the characteristics which make Generation Z known among other generations is their active engagement in the world of social media. They are most likely the flock of people who catches easily onto the trends of the internet, as well as the ones that are most participative in sharing their thoughts online. And I believe that I am one of them.

In terms of sharing a variety of concepts that could either be a part of my life or which intrigue me, I use two apps: Twitter and Instagram

Why Twitter?

Twitter because it is mostly the social media platform that has a fair share of educated and uneducated people. On Twitter, you could locate the type of audience who knows to listen, as well as the other way around. There is a certain and common ambiance felt when using the app which is the freedom to express what you feel and think without the need to feel pressured by what others might think. Sure, Cancel culture is ultimately common in the app; however, it only happens when there is really something wrong with what you posted. Nevertheless, Twitter is a great app for implying your mind.

Why Instagram?

It is common knowledge that Instagram is the best place for high-quality pictures. Alongside to this, influencers and netizens are likely to be found in the app scrolling through diverse stories and posts. Again, despite my busy schedule as a senior high school student, I always visit Instagram during my free time. Most of the time, I only post on my IG story especially when sharing my opinion regarding an issue or basically just a thought about my day. My audience in the app is only small, but advocacies could be spread productively along IG stories. Besides, you always get the best quality photos. (Just don't attach any music!)

There are still various applications or platforms in which thoughts could be shared. Facebook could also be a great platform; however, I prefer to not utilize it because the audience of the app is huge and I feel uncomfortable implying my ideas, even those which do make sense. Nonetheless, Twitter and Instagram are wonderful platforms. You just have to be mindful of what you choose to post and the people that you opt to see
