Keeping Tabs Online

    The world inside social media is an expansive labyrinth of information with a fair share of truths and lies. In this modern time, doing and catching things up online have been a usual thing, as everyone tries to learn how the community works. As an individual who got used to using social media as I aged, I have always preferred to have myself updated with things online by employing frequent visits to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and Youtube. Maturing along with the growth of the social world, I have thought that keeping myself updated online wasn't just all about merely making myself catch up. Instead, it played a huge role in my life. 

    Looking at the bigger picture, staying updated on the online community also has its advantages such that it helps you stay aware of everyday scenarios; equips you in formulating decisions; and makes you knowledgeable about a variety of things. 

    There is an assurance that you will get new and up-to-date information once you try to catch up with the social realm. Current news and issues roaming in the world are easily spread in social media; thus, the information we see as we stroll online could be the latest news of the world nowadays. Aside from this, staying up-to-date shapes our minds to make good decisions as we get to learn different perspectives using social media. We are always given the opportunity to analyze things and come up with a wise conclusion of our own. Alongside this, through regular usage of social platforms, we make ourselves knowledgeable about the diverse issues and news surrounding us. We allow ourselves to be educated without realizing it, as well as encourages us to voice out our minds especially if there is a need to do so. 

    All these advantages push me to become efficient as a teenager and a user of the internet. Staying updated on what goes on inside the world of social media boosts my way of living as it keeps me aware of what wanders around me. Sure, I am not turning a blind eye to the cons of its usage; however, we can't deny that the social community has had a multitude of benefits to society throughout its existence.
