Branches of ICT in a STEM setting

    In functioning as a student of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), I have realized one thing— there is and will always be a need to seek the branches of technology. Pacing through the pathways of STEM has exposed me to the fields of Science and Mathematics which significantly involves the ideas and usage of technology and engineering. Throughout the months of my stay, Jenny Arledge was right when she uttered that technology could become "wings" which helped me fly farther and grasp more in the realm of education. 

    Even before I became a part of the STEM community, I was under the Science, Technology, and Engineering Program (STEP) of Camarines Sur National High School which familiarized me with the realm I am in now. We were early exposed to several advanced science- and math-related topics, writing research papers, and executing experiments. As a student who is not born with a natural excellence in mathematics, I have always struggled in understanding and solving equations and word problems involving it. So, I had to exert extra effort in learning online— exploring a variety of educational applications and websites -- in order to catch up. Fortunately, I did.

    Years of making research have taught me that employing technology is a great need, especially when searching for review-related literature and studies. Sure, books could as well serve as factual and accurate bases of information, but in connection to the modernity present in today's time, digging through the internet could make things even more efficient. Take note, just be careful about suspicious sources and information! 

    Aside from these, we, students, undertake various experiments, either involving our research's succession or just basically because of a subject. The machines and devices that we use are outcomes of the successes of technology as the world paces along modernization. My life as a student becomes way more productive and competent because of the advantages of technology. 

    On a simple note, ICT has become a huge advantage for me as a student in a STEM setting. It has revealed a multitude of techniques and opportunities to handle my educational agendas more effectively. Yay!
